And now we are home

Everyone and everything has made it home now. The only thing that did not make it was 2 of our checked bags. We arrived safe and sound but absolutely exhausted

taste of Scotland tour Melrose abby and Roselyn Chapel

We started the day with Bradley "Playing his duck call. I could have sworn I bought a bagpipe, but it sounds exactly like a duck call

On our trip we stopped at this overlook, and heard a great story,  but I do not remember it.
So I came all the way to Scotland to see a TeePee (that is not short for Toilet Paper).

Bradley truly beleived that he could throw a rock all the way to the lake. It was a lot farther than it looked. It was a little over half a mile.
Awesome house we could see from the overlook.
I saw Deborah and Gary sitting together, so I just knew I had to grab this shot.

The group listens to Keith tell us a story about the overlook (you know the on I forgot)

We visited Roselyn Chapel today afer a quick stop and Melrose Abby. Da Vinci Code was on everyone's mind as we entered the chapel

Keith our tour guide Really gave us a ton of imformation about the chapel, and that the Da Vinci Code was more or less artistic license.

As I was walking in I saw this. I was later to learn that it was for the black cat that lived at the chapel.

Video and Photography was not allowed inside the chapel, but I grabbed a few non flash shots.
Beautiful stained glass windows all over the walls.
After we left the Chapel, a group went down to the ruins of the castle. As you see below it was pretty devastated.

You can see Ms Susan taking pictures, and Bradley took this picture of her taking a picture,

On the way back to Overtoun House we stopped to see Hamish, but he was not performing for us today at all, Luckily his soon decided we were worthy of a bit of attention.
Hamish the bull Jr. trying to find the food. Hamish the dad bull would not get off the ground even for food.
Bradley and I got to feed him, and that is how I remembered that cows have a sandpaper tongue.

Meet Megs Bradley TOTALLY frll in love with her while we were there.

Dinner and a show

We went to "The World Famous" A Taste of Scotland. That made me giggle when they said that, because I had never heard of it before we got there tonight.
The building had been there since 1816. I am beginning to think they don't have any new construction in the country

OK I am just too tired to give you my witty repoirtee tonight, so I will make it short and sweet.  Clara, Taylor, and Annette were all three chosen to get up and learn a Scottish dance as you see below. If you wish to know more about the show, feel free to look it up on google.

We worked hard now it is time to play hard

And when I say play hard I mean walk FOREVER!!!!  Holy cow Gary and Deborah reported on their fit bits over 12,000 steps just before dinner. I am not so sure I want to play anymore working might have been easier hehe. Anyway we toured edinburgh castle and took a driving tour around Edinburgh. We then wen to Holyroodhouse palace (where the Queen of Scots "Supposedly" lives, but I did not see her).
Here is the inevitable group picture, that every group must endure, and if you are with this group must endure many times
After 30 cameras and 60+ shots above we had to do a silly pose
Thean we moved it outside, just in case someone thought we were in the bahamas, I photoshopped the Overtoun House in the background, so you know we are definately not in the bahamas.
Bradley pretending to be a guard
And now he is a spy.
This is our Bus that we are riding around in today. It seems to like wee,
And here is the door we go in with Bradley and I first to be there, because my FEET HURT!!! Refer back to original post with 12.000 steps if you can not figure out why
Here is the name of the company that runs the Wee Red Bus.
Ok Here is the Necrobus, I mean really that is pretty creepy, you can look it up online to see more of the hearse/bus.
And here is the advertisement on the side, that will make you quiver or laugh in your boots.

OK this bus was flying by me and I could not get the picture fast enough for you to read the words, but, The blue cap is actually for additives, and the gray cap is for diesel. I just found that really interesting
Edinburgh real estate office for dummies. This really seems to be where they find the latest listings. So much for the MLS and realtor.com.
Awesome looking Taxi. OK maybe not awesome, closer to really weird but hey I made you look.
Our tour guide was trying to educate me on what all these statues we were passing were, but I did not remember even a tenth of what he said, so here is a statue of a dead guy they really like in Edinburgh.
This is on the gates to holyroodhouse palace. What an amazing piece of Architecture, or it could have been on sale at Costco when they were building it.

Scintilating architecture, lovely designs, delicate designed piece of really heavy concrete that looks like it has not been washed for a while.
Everyone loves to see the pretty flowers
Bradley found another guard box, and if you look real close he has an audio device in his hand that looks like a cell phone. That device poured a ton of information right into my left ear (and out of my right). That was enginious how they kept you moving and teaching you at the same time.
Just purty, 2 horses playing footsie
 Great paintjob
Heads of monks that were at the abbey, or just some random faces in the crowd you decide.
Our awesome pastor and his grammar correcting wife hehe. Susan asked me to take a picture of them with her camera and I snuck this one with mine.
Way cool cliffs outside the palace, and what you can not see is the 50 or so hikers on the hills hiking.
